Joseph Edward Alfieri

Joseph Edward Alfieri, moved to another dimension on February 23, 2026.

In his words, "It has been a wondrous trip! I've been blessed for 71 years with a loving wife, Sharon, three beautiful children, Carin, Sandra, and Shari, seven grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Most importantly-the I Am Presence, God, has been my guiding light. My only request is that you say a prayer for a peaceful planet."

Joe was born in Warsaw, NY, son of the late James and Elizabeth Saldano Alfieri, and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a radio operator during the Korean War. He was employed for over 29 years with the Hartford Insurance Company. After retirement, he worked as a long-term substitute teacher at Sage Park Junior High School and Windsor High School. Joe will not only be fondly remembered as a gifted teacher, but also for the way he shared his philosophy and life lessons with all his students.

Joe was an ordained minister with Celebrating Life Ministries, an interfaith God-based healing light community, which filled his spirit. For over 20 years, he was a member at Unity of Greater Hartford, forging countless friendships. As a minister and JP, Joe facilitated over 100 weddings. Joe enjoyed golfing and was an avid bowler, often traveling near and far to play in Pro-Ams. His last run was enjoying weekly senior lunches at the Suffield Senior Center with his year-long friend, Eddie, whose kindness filled Joe's heart.

In addition to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, he leaves his brother, James and wife Donna, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; along with an array of warm friends, other relatives, business associates, teachers, and Ascended Masters.

Besides his parents, and the love of his life, Sharon, he was predeceased by his sister, Anna.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 11 a.m., at Unity of Greater Hartford, 919 Ellington Rd., South Windsor.
