It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph David Andrade, who departed this world on December 31, 2024, at the age of 28. Born on May 31, 1996, in Augusta, Georgia, Joseph brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. His life, although brief, was a testament to kindness, selflessness, and an unwavering love for family and friends.
Joseph was the beloved son of Deacon Fidel Andrade and Rebecca Cutlip Andrade. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Billy Joe and Andrea Cutlip, and his aunt, Lisa Faye Cutlip. Joseph leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is survived by his devoted parents, his brother Ashton Andrade, and sister-in-law Regine. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Rosalio and Heriberta Andrade, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Lorenzo Andrade and his wife Shawny, Mario Andrade, David Cutlip, Erica Lawson and husband Patrick, Lavonna Cutlip and cousins Ashley Johnson and husband T.J., Gavin Andrade and wife Cameron, Raylee Andrade, Ambree Andrade, Lisa Shultz and Mark Broyan, and Billy Shultz, along with many additional great aunts, uncles, and second and third cousins.
Joseph was known for his vibrant spirit and larger-than-life personality. He was the life of the party, and his presence could be felt in any room, bringing smiles and warmth to everyone around him. His kindness and loving nature were unmatched; he had a heart for music and a genuine love for people. He enjoyed gaming and found solace in the beauty of star gazing, appreciating the universe's wonders.
Joseph shared a special bond with his beloved pets, Misty the cat and Ellie the dog. Misty held a particularly special place in his heart; their connection was a testament to his loving and nurturing spirit.

I taught Joseph his junior year in English III at LHS. I remember how pleasant and polite he was. He was also VERY bright and caught onto concepts quickly. He would like to help, so I gave him a job passing out journals as students entered the room. Whenever we had free time in class, I remember him standing at the white board solving math problems for his friends.
I am devastated to hear of his passing. He was a special young man, indeed. His family will be in my prayers.
