Joseph Vincent Badalamente

Joseph Vincent Badalamente, age 89, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion. A proud Army veteran, devoted family man, and friend to all who knew him, Joe's warmth and vibrant spirit touched countless lives.
Beloved husband of the late Alice Badalamente for 59 beautiful years, their love story began on the snowy slopes of Skiniks Ski Club. Joe often joked that he married the better skier, but it was clear to all that they were a perfect pair. Together, they built a life full of joy, adventure, and unwavering companionship, sharing many mornings on their front porch with coffee and crossword puzzles in hand.
Joe was the cherished father of Lisa (Jack) Lipar, Amy (David) Noon, and the late Matthew Mark Badalamente. He was a devoted grandfather to Marissa, Kendra, and Kathleen, and an honorary grandfather to Jamie. He reveled in the role, never missing an opportunity to share a story, a joke, or a song. His family was his greatest pride and joy.
Brother to Vincent (Sharon) Badalamente and Patsy (the late Hank) Riha, Joe also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. His sense of humor, quick wit, and generous heart made him a treasured presence in every room.
Whether gliding down ski slopes or swinging a golf club, Joe embraced life with enthusiasm. He found peace and happiness at his second home in Gaylord, where the doors were always open to friends and family. His storytelling, spirited singing, and infectious laugh made every gathering brighter.
A man of deep character and kindness, Joseph Badalamente was truly one of a kind. His absence leaves a hole in the hearts of many, but his legacy of love, joy, and strength will live on.
A Celebration of Life for Joe will be held at Camp Ticonderoga, 5725 Rochester Road in Troy from 11am until 3pm on Saturday, June 28th, 2025.
