Joseph W. Baddick
Joseph W. Baddick, 63, of Tuscarora, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.
He joined his father in operating BL Drilling of Tama-
qua. Joe was a member of the Boilermakers Union Local No. 17 and had worked on the construction of the Limerick Nuclear Power Plant.
Born on Saturday, Feb. 21, 1959 in Pottsville, he was a son of Victor D. Baddick of Tamaqua and the late Mary Patricia (Coleman) Baddick.
He was a 1977 graduate of Marian Catholic High School.
He was a former chief of the Tuscarora Fire Co. and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deer season at the family cabin on the North Ward Mountain in Tamaqua.
Surviving in addition to his father are brother, Victor W. of Tamaqua; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Baddick and Elizabeth Bassler.
He was also predeceased by two brothers, John J. and Mark V.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 307 Pine St., Tamaqua. Interment, St. Bertha's Cemetery, Tamaqua. Call 6-8 p.m. Monday, E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua. Contributions in his name may be made to the Tuscarora Fire Co., 301 Mulberry St., Tuscarora.
