Joseph Barda Obituary
He earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology at Colorado State University, a master's degree in Corrections at Chicago State University, and a Bachelor of International Management at Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management in Arizona.
In 1965 he became a Peace Corps volunteer in India and later served in the US Army. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a member of Mensa.
After a successful career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Joe volunteered to help Carroll County Arkansas build a jail. Because of his expertise with prisons, he was made Project Manager. He loved to travel, read, solve problems, and help others.
Joe was a devoted husband and father. He was described as a 'big man with a big heart'.
