Joseph John Baric, Sr.

Born January 30, 1930, Joseph (Joe) passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Joe was born in Trafford, PA, where he also raised his family. Later in life, he and his late wife Mary moved to Cary, North Carolina, to enjoy a warmer climate while remaining close to children and grandchildren in that area.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1948 to 1950. During his professional career, he worked as an editor at the Trafford Westinghouse Printing Division.

Finding joy in life's simple pleasures, he was an avid reader and gardener. He loved telling jokes and sharing stories, often ending with a belly laugh that was contagious. His humor and lighthearted spirit brought joy and warmth to all who knew him.

Joe and Mary raised a beautiful family of seven children: Jean Baric Parker (the late Kevin), Mark Baric (Jan), Christine Gianni (Rich), Thomas Baric (Karen), Carol Baric Tarnow (Greg), Joseph Baric, and Robert Baric.

During his last years with us, Joe spent time living with each of his children, who lovingly cared for him, allowing them to create wonderful memories that they will cherish forever.

His legacy continues through his 28 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Joe will be remembered for his gentle soul, deep faith, laughter, kindness to all he met, and stories that will continue to echo in the hearts of his family for generations to come.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 4-7 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th Street (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111. Parting prayers of transfer will be held at 9:30 AM Monday April 27, 2026 in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10 AM in the St. Regis Church, 517 Homewood Ave., Trafford. Interment will be private for his immediate family.
