Surviving is his fiancee, Debbie Kilpatrick, also of Battle Creek.
Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Michigan Cremation Company, Grand Rapids.
Joseph Edward Barney, age 58, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence in Battle Creek.
