Joseph A. Barr

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Andrew Barr, age 44, of Crestwood, IL who passed away on March 10, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Joe was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was his three daughters. He was known for his kind heart, strength, sense of humor, and the love he shared with everyone around him. Whether spending time with family, supporting his daughters, or helping a friend in need, he always put others first.

Joe worked for Schold Manufacturing as a Lead Mechanic for 9 years, where he was respected by coworkers and formed many lasting friendships. He took pride in his work and was known for his dedication, reliability, and willingness to help others.

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Elisabeth, Abigail, and Paige; his loving parents, Karen and Ed; his siblings, Sherri, Brian, and Mike; his nephews/niece Jon, Austin, Scott, Kyle, Brett, Dylan, Blake, Brayden, and Korin; his grandnephews/nieces Addison, Derek, Lincoln, and Theodore. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of his daughters, family, and all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate that donations be made in Joe’s memory to benefit his children.
