OMG Joe was one of a kind. If you ever needed a favor he was right there. He was loved by all and so many friends and would always remember who you were. He had the gift of gab could talk about anything from A to Z. I found out later about his passing or I would have been there to say goodbye to a dear friend. He loved his family and his friends. Always talked about them many times His Godchildren name it he loved everyone. He fought a tough battle and the Prayers to Fr Bill Atkinson we tried our best but God wanted him and he will be with a lot of us forever. RIP my friend and keep an eye on all of us till we meet again. If you run into my love say hello to him, he will be fun to hang with and all the St Tommy Moore gang will also be there to greet you. God Bless;

Joe was an amazing man filled with humor and kindness. He knew how to get a room talking and loved to talk about his past and mostly sports. He made friends easily and made sure to check up on each and every one of them even when he wasn't feeling his best. We will never forget the countless we got to spend with our good friend Joe; he will be very missed.
Love Brittany, Mary Agnes, Sarah, Dana, Donna, Robyn ~ and crew!

First I want to offer my deepest condolences to Joe's longtime girlfriend Margie and his sister Lynne, and all his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Joe I think did not have a mean bone in his body, always found something humorous about the person he was with. And yes, being a walking encyclopedia of local sports was uncanny to say the least. Always liked to party, and many times closed that party.
It pains me to not being able to attend his services since I am only 2 1/2 weeks out of total knee replacement surgery, but my thoughts are with all and I will cherish all the good times I experienced with my cousin Joe. RIP!

Joe and I spent a lot of time together as we both lived and grew up in Briarcliffe. We joined scouts together. Played in Briarcliffe little league together although on opposing teams. We spent many a night cruising in his Ford Fairlane convertible trying to impress the girls ... to no avail! Then came college and we both attended Big Five schools - me Villanova, Joe Temple. After graduation I joined the Air Force and left the area for 4 years. Shortly after my return, I met my beautiful wife, Dianne, and we moved to Midwest where we now reside just outside of Indianapolis and close to our daughter, Brianna; son-in-law, Andrew; and three awesome grandsons, Walter, Oscar and Arthur. Joe and I would still get together at various family events and spend hours catching up, typically at my Dad's downstairs bar sharing a number of adult beverages. Even though distance separated us we shared two passions that kept us connected - Penn State football and Villanova basketball. We'd text each other during games and usually call each other afterwards recapping how good or bad the teams played that day. I'll miss those exchanges and most of all I'll miss you, Joe. I love you man.

So sorry to hear of Joe´s passing, I always cherished my conversations with Joe at Fatima and O´Hara football games. He was always happy and loved to reminisce about past players and coaches.
RIP Joe Begley.
