Joseph "Joey" Ray Berube, 28, of Bemidji, MN passed to the other side on March 26th 2025 surrounded by his family and friends at Sanford Bemidji.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Tuesday April 1st at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji and one hour prior to the service.
He was born on December 21 1996 to Sandy L. (Burns) and Denis H. Berube. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 2018. As the youngest sibling of a large family, he grew up to be very social in nature, Joey was often a part of hanging out with his older siblings and all of their friends. He had a close relationship with both of his parents.
Starting from a young age Joey loved to take apart and rebuild bikes with his brother Tommy. He also learned how to do other crafty things like wood carving and whittling. Joey enjoyed skateboarding around town. He was the type of person to do anything for his friends when they needed something, and not expect anything in return. His big heart and acceptance of people is apparent through the many lives he touched and the amount of people who cared about him. He often gave his nephews and friends his bougie outfits and shoes. Joey loved nice cars and luxurious things. As a young adult, he enjoyed his job as a tree trimming service worker. He loved being a father to his daughters who meant the world to him. Through his last acts of giving, Joey graciously donated his organs that will save multiple lives.
Joey is survived by his parents Sandy Burns and Denis H. Berube, his two daughters Bailey and Aubree Berube (Lacey Thomson), siblings Denis E. R. Berube, Bobby (Amber) Berube, Jenny (Josh) Fadness, Tiffany (Jon) Rundquist, Danny (Kodey) Berube, Andy Berube, Tommy Berube, and 10 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandparents James (Bud) and Irene Burns of Bemidji, and Alphie and Rhona Berube of Eagle Lake, Maine.
