Joseph F. Bieniewicz, 86 of Harbor Springs died May 11, 2025 with family by his side. He was born July 9, 1938 in Detroit the son of Theodore and Eva Bieniewicz.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Barbara (Kubinski) Bieniewicz, his children Laura (Gary) Meyer of Chicago, IL, Donna (Manuel) Ayala of Austin, TX, Mary (Patrick) Daly of Livonia, James (Nydia) Bieniewicz of Livonia, daughter in law Kristen Bieniewicz of Westland, grandchildren Annie, Sofie, Paige, Kyle, Joslynn, Josh, Keegen, Victoria, and Sloane. He was preceded in death by his son John Bieniewicz, brother Edward Bieniewicz, and his parents.
Joseph loved his family deeply. He was often spending time with his kids and grandkids and adored his wife. He loved dancing with his wife, Barbara, especially to a polka or a waltz. Joe loved to take a ride to the Mackinac Bridge to sit along the water and enjoy the views. He loved to take a drive to Whitefish Pointe to see the lighthouse and walk along Lake Superior. Joe enjoyed skipping stones with his kids and grandkids. He loved kayaking in Little Traverse Bay as often as he could. Joe enjoyed working with his hands and doing carpentry. He was proud that he helped build two of the homes they lived in. He also loved to be outside, especially cutting, splitting and stacking wood. He liked to put puzzles together and watch movies too, especially older black and white movies!
No services are planned at this time, however, a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
