He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Mathis Boggs; grandparents, Elbert and Evelyn Custer.
Joey is survived by his wife, Tina Dalton Boggs; mother, Clara Joyce Sweatt Boggs; children, Hayden and Jacob Boggs; step sons, Chris Harper and Shawn (Lori) Harper; step daughter, Karie Pendergrass; brother, Jimmy (Jessica Lewis) Boggs, sister, Lora (Lonnie Johnson) Cartwright; aunt; Brenda Grimsley; uncle, Sam Johnson; grandchildren, Jacey and Sydnee Harper, Creed and Tommye Pendergrass; nieces, McKenzie Boggs and Lillian Johnson; nephews, Aiden Boggs and Ryan Johnson along with a host of friends.
Family will receive friends Thursday at Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
