Joseph R. Boyle "Joe" born July 13, 1953 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, went home to the Lord January 18, 2025. Son of Robert and Ella Boyle he graduated from Central Catholic High School, Allentown class of 1971.
Joe was employed at Hess's Department Store in Allentown before beginning his information technology career at GAC Finance in Allentown. GAC was eventually purchased by Nations Bank and became Nations Credit before the company left Allentown. Joe eventually worked for several years in IT for TSYS in Columbus, Georgia. After retiring in 2015, Joe moved to Mesa, Arizona where he thoroughly enjoyed sunshine and his retirement.
Joe always loved his garden either in Allentown or Columbus. In Arizona, he was a frequent visitor to the Desert Botanical Garden in Scottsdale. He was a big fan of glass and sculpted glass work and enjoyed the art shows in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Fountain Hills.
One of Joe's favorite places to visit was New York City. He loved walks through Central Park, exploring the city landmark buildings and discovering a new restaurant or bar. He enjoyed seeing the different architecture styles in the city both the classics and modern design. He was a member of the 9/11 memorial museum and visited the site when in the city. He loved Broadway shows and experiencing the Christmas show at Radio City Music Hall.
Joe loved pets and had several dogs during his life. His favorites were Maggie and Katie Boyle, his Cocker Spaniels and loved dogs belonging to his friends, especially Eva, a beautiful dapple dachshund that easily stole his heart. He frequently ushered at a theater in Columbus, GA, and volunteered as he could at different locations in the valley. Andre House (providing for the homeless),Desert Botanical Garden, Mesa Gateway Airport, Arizona Humane Society and even served as a guide for visitors at the latest Superbowl in Arizona. He was a people person, always smiling and pleasing others, sharing knowledge and happiness. He shed a positive light of happiness to whoever met him.
Joe's favorite times where spending time with his large circle of friends. He loved talking with and spending quality time with his friends from both Pennsylvania and Georgia.
Joe will be interred at the columbarium at The Fountains United Methodist Church, Fountain Hills, AZ. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Joseph, please visit our floral store.
