Joseph Branda Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Inc. - New Berlin on Jun. 8, 2023.
Joseph A. Branda
A loving husband, father, and grandpa passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the age of 78.
Devoted husband of Karen (nee Mogielnicki) Branda. Proud dad of Steven (Megan) Branda and Janel (Matt) Medvecz. Cherished Grandpa and Papa Joe of Beau, Luke, and Tyson. Dear brother of Salvatore "Sam" Branda and brother-in-law of Sharon Mogielnicki. Dear cousin and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose (nee Toto) Branda.
Joe was born in Milwaukee on November 12, 1944, and grew up on the Eastside, where he attended Riverside High School. He went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army and then worked for the City of Milwaukee, from which he retired after 34 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement, which gave him more time to dedicate to his favorite activities like spending time with his grandsons, watching every Brewers, Packers, and Bucks game on TV, walking the neighborhood, fishing, and getting lunch with the boys. Joe was known for his zingers and jokes and always made his friends and family laugh. He was a caring, kind-hearted man and will be missed greatly.
Memorial Gathering at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM. Memorial Service at 12:00 PM.

To the family of Joe, Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of my cousin Joe. Growing up on the Eastside (Kewaunee St.) we enjoyed playing baseball on the street and on Cass St. playground, where he excelled in sports. He will be missed by many people he touched though out his life. Rest in peace and may God take you in his loving arms. John and Amy Caputa
