Joseph Breish Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, P.C. - Emmaus on Mar. 11, 2026.
Joseph J. Breish (WV3M)

Joseph J. Breish, 72, of Coopersburg, PA, passed away February 13, 2026, in Allentown. He was the beloved husband of Sharon L. (Nace) Breish, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Breish and Louise E. (Marks) Breish.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; sons Jay (Hannah) and Christopher (Allyson); three granddaughters; brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers David, William, and Richard Breish.
Joe served honorably in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1975 as an aviation electronics technician with Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Six at NAS Norfolk, attaining the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. He later continued his service in the U.S. Navy Reserve from 1975 to 1978 with Patrol Squadron 66 at NAS Willow Grove, where he attained the rank of Petty Officer Second Class.
For more than 40 years, Joe worked as a field service technician in the semiconductor industry, a career that reflected his lifelong interest in electronics and technology. Joe's faith in God and his Savior, Jesus Christ, was the cornerstone of his life. He was a longtime member of the Bible Fellowship Church, including Bethel BFC in Emmaus and Grace BFC in Quakertown.
He was also an enthusiastic amateur radio operator (call sign WV3M), enjoying conversations with people around the world and sharing his passion with others. Joe encouraged his family-Sharon, Jay, and Chris-to become amateur radio operators as well.
Joe was a longtime member of the Philadelphia Glider Council in Hilltown, Pennsylvania, where he pursued his love of glider flying. Over the years, he flew gliders not only in Hilltown but also in New York, Arizona, and Florida.
He also loved sailing and spent time on the water in many places, including the Puget Sound, Vermont, Florida, and the Columbia River in Washington. His favorite place to sail, however, was Lake Nockamixon in Quakertown, where he enjoyed many outings with his wife Sharon.
