Joseph U. Broussard

Joseph U. Broussard went home to the Lord surrounded by his loving family on November 3rd, 2025. Joseph was born on February 6th, 1935, to parents Wilford and Augustine Broussard in Louisiana.

As a devout Catholic, Joseph was devoted to his service to the church and for Christ. It was important to Joseph to spread the gospel and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Joseph looked forward to the day he would see his Savior face to face.

For much of Joseph's life he operated a family painting business where the whole family was involved and contributed. He lead and taught his children the lessons and virtues of hard work and character. He demonstrated that the easiest way wasn't always God's way and that it was more important to follow the ways of God for success.

Joseph also served as a Knight in the Knights of Colombus ministry for many years in various capacities. A service to The Lord Jesus Christ and community that was very dear to his heart and purpose for life.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife Alice, sons Anthony Obrey, James Frank, and Steven Andrew, daughters Pamela Ann and Cynthia Marie, and 60 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joseph is missed by many more.

He is preceded in death by his sons Joseph Jr., John Harold, and Patrick Francis.

Viewing for Joseph will be held on Friday, November 14th, 2025, from 4-7pm, with a rosary taking place at 5pm at the Sweet-Olsen Family Chapel.

Mass will take place the following day, Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 11am at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Following Mass, Joseph will be interred at the Catholic Cemetery located at 3900 County Road P, in Orland, California.

Arrangements are held under the direction of Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary.
