Joseph Anthony Cadella, age 83, of North Haven passed away on July 8, 2025, surrounded by his family's love. For 58 years, he was the loving husband of Anita Bazata Cadella. Joseph was born in Bridgeport, CT, the son of the late Anthony and Rose D'Elia Cadella.
Professionally, Joseph enjoyed his career as a Computer Consultant. He was self-employed for majority of his work career. His work ethic was unmatched. Joe dedicated himself to providing for his family while setting an inspiring example for his daughters. While he touched many lives, nothing brought him greater joy than being "Poppy." He adored his grandchildren and never missed a chance to make them smile. Joe's sense of humor brought joy and laughter to those around him, and everyone who met him couldn't help but love him. He never demanded much from others but gave everything he had to his friends and family. Joe was a former member of the Civitan Club of North Haven and served briefly in the US Air Force.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his daughters, Little Maryann (Edward Toland) Cadella of Florida, Donna Pettola of North Haven and Susan Collins of Clinton, his grandchildren, Crysta (Mitch Brown) Cadella, Justine LaMark, Angela LaMark, Emily Pettola, Kaitlyn Pettola, and John "JP" Collins, and his brothers Robert Cadella of Bethal and John (Elaine) Cadella of Seymour.
Joseph's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, July 12th, from 9:00am - 10:30am at the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St. Yalesville. A Funeral Service will commence in the funeral home at 10:30am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
