Joseph Canevari

Joseph Canevari, age 90, of Palatka, Florida, passed away on October 13, 2024, at Roberts Care Center. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph lived a life full of passion, dedication, and love.
A proud graduate of Lafayette High School, he met his beloved wife, Leonore Pecoraro, during those formative years. Joseph honorably served his country for two years in the United States Army, embodying the values of duty and service.
In 1970, Joseph moved to California, where he raised his family and forged a successful career with Pacific Gas and Electric (PGE), retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. In 2021, he and his family relocated to Florida, where he embraced a new chapter in his life.
Joseph was a man of many talents and interests. For 12 years, he was an enthusiastic roller derby skater, making lifelong friends and unforgettable memories. He also had a deep love for soccer, coaching various teams for over 30 years, some of which became state champions. His passion for the sport inspired countless young athletes.
Joseph is survived by his children, Raymond Canevari and Janet Morales (Pedro) and his grandchildren, Tyesha Brown, Megan Wilshon, Daniel Duscio and Anthony Duscio.
A graveside service will be held at 9 am on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Cape Canaveral National Cemtery with military honors.
Joseph Canevari will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
