Joseph B Cesena

Joseph B. Cesena, 74 of South Elgin, IL. passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 surrounded by his family at his home in South Elgin, IL. He was born November 23, 1949 in Chicago, IL to Andrea and Rosaria Cesena.
A graduate of Weber High School, Joseph attended DePaul University where he received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. Joseph became Vice Principal for Education at Cook County Jail and later taught Special Education at Naperville Central High School for over 20 years. During retirement he enjoyed being involved in the youth group at Calgary Church and attending all of his grandchildren's many events as well as travelling throughout the United States. Joseph loved to dance, loved to eat (especially sweets), and loved his family.
Joseph is survived by his three children; Michele, Christopher (Lia), Andrew (Melissa). Grandfather of five; Alexandria (TJ), Bianca, Giada, Francis, and Jules. Great grandfather to Francesca. A brother to Anna, and uncle to Joseph, Andrew, Mary, and Kathy.
Preceded in death by his parents Andrea and Rosaria.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at the Moss Norris Funeral Home 100 S. Third Street St. Charles, IL. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
