Joseph B. Conder Jr., 74, passed away on October 6th, 2025. He was born on May 29th, 1951, in Louisville, KY, the son of Joseph B. Conder Sr. and Sarah A. Conder.

He loved to work hard and have fun keeping things simple and tried to have a positive impact on everyone he would meet. He graduated from St. Helen, Bishop David, University of Kentucky, and Memphis State University.

He was also a member of the food service industry working with Frito Lay, Sysco Food Services, and other regional brokers. He retired from The American Red Cross in blood services where he was the National Representative of the Year. He then continued on as a substitute teacher with JCPS.

He was an avid supporter, player, coach, and official of all sports and enjoyed building relationships everywhere. He was a member of Ascension Catholic Church and volunteered at Franciscan Soup Kitchen and St. Joe Orphan's picnic.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph B. Conder Sr.; his mother, Sarah A. Conder; and his brother, John Conder.

He is survived by his beautiful and caring wife, the former Mary C. Young; his beautiful and loving daughter, Kara Conder; his sisters, Karen Mayer and Patty Heuser; his brother, Robert Conder; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and many great friends.

Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 10th, 2025 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.

The funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, at Ascension Catholic Church, 4600 Lynnbrook Drive.

Memorial gifts may be made to Ascension Catholic Church or The American Red Cross.
