Joe lived in Oakland, California until he was 11 years old, then moved to Pleasanton, California. Joe and his friends loved to explore and hike in creeks and hills in and around Pleasanton. As a young man Joe loved backpacking, fishing and collecting rocks and gems. He later joined the Marine Corps.
Joe had many professions that were very rewarding which included working for the Veterans Administration, he was a glass glazer, and he also worked for a towing company. Joe's passion for collecting rocks was always his favorite pastime.
Joe was married to Cindy Cross in the early 90's. He later met Sylvia Belena in 2007. Sylvia and Joe made a life together in Siskiyou County.
Joe is survived by his life partner Sylvia Belena, his two brothers Jerry Cross and Jeff Cross,Aad their wives Cynthia Cross and Bobby Cross, and by his niece Jacqueline Cross.
Joseph will be truly missed. Rest in Peace.
