Joseph Michael DenHerder

Joseph Michael DenHerder, 66, a lifelong resident of Charlotte, MI, died December 8, 2023. He was born June 19, 1957 in Charlotte to George and Phyllis (Ott) DenHerder. A Charlotte High School graduate, Joe worked at Johnson Lumber from 1995 until his retirement in 2019 as a supervisor, and he loved was a strong and steady worker. Joe was always making friends, when he walked into a room of strangers he was never shy and always made friends quickly. Helping others, but never wanting to bother others when he needed help was part of his charm. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, and watching classic TV shows with MASH and Hogan's Heroes as his favorites.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Candace Canterbury, Cassandra Salas, and Christina DenHerder; sons, Jacob Stewart and Joshua DenHerder; 16 grandchildren; step-sister, Sharon Hill; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara DenHerder in 2017.
