Joseph "Mike" Johnson, 73, a dedicated and dependable man, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Mike was born September 24, 1952 in Mason, the son of Sanford Joseph and Marilyn Anne (Frye) Johnson. He worked for General Motors for over 30 years, retiring as Production Line Supervisor. Over the decades, Mike not only built a strong career but also formed many meaningful friendships that he truly valued.

Mike found happiness in the simple things. He loved listening to good music, spending quiet days fishing, and making memories at the family cabin in Irons, MI - a place that meant so much to him and those with which he shared it. A loyal and enthusiastic Spartan fan, he took great pride in cheering on his team during football and basketball season. He was also a big supporter and fan of the Lions and the Tigers. Mike loved his pets throughout the years, especially his beloved dogs, Zeus, Jasper and Boutwell. Above all, Mike will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his kind heart, and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will be cherished always.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Jane Johnson; his mother, Marilyn Johnson; daughters, Kori and Meriah Johnson; step-children, Todd (Amber) Miller and Nikkie (Mike) Whitely; grandchildren, Bryce (Ally) White, CJ Miller, Theresa Miller, Thane Miller, Trevor Lyons, Trent Lyons, Tate Lyons, Jay Crone, Caleb Crone, Kyle Crone, and Rylie Crone; and his sister, Sally Johnson. He was predeceased by his father and his sister, Sheri Gonzalez.

Friends are encouraged to support Mike's family by attending a Celebration of Life Open House at Tony M's on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., and by sharing memories on his Tribute Page at www.prayfuneral.com < http://www.prayfuneral.com >. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Eaton County Humane Society. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
