I always appreciated Joe´s demeanor with the kids at BD. He was such a great champion for the students.
May he be in the arms of the angels

My deepest sympathy to the DiFilippo family. I only knew Joe for a few yrs back in the days from Rugby. He was a super fun guy and was always so sweet to me. Prayers for his family and friends.

My sympathy to Joe's family. I have fond memories of walking home from St. Jude's with him and a few other kids. I recall once as we were parting ways he announced that he had a joke to tell. He asked, "Why did the man throw the clock out the window?" Answer: "To see how time flies" Apparently it really made an impression on me that I remember this 63 years later! I think it was the teller of the joke. I'll always remember Joe as a sweet, happy-go-lucky guy. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear this. My dad (Larry Shuman) was friendly to your family and I worked with John with Scott's back a few decades. Prayers to the family during your time of loss.

RIP, Joe. Did not know Joe personally, but the older Italian DiFilippo & Simone families were friends years ago.
