Joseph "Joe" "Jr." Drivere, Jr., 100, of South Pymatuning Twp., Pennsylvania, passed away on March 28, 2025, at Quality Life Services Grove City.
He was born in Farrell, Pennsylvania, on January 24, 1925, to Oda (Leary) and Joseph Drivere, Sr.
He attended Farrell School District.
Joe was a World War II Vet and served from 1943-1945 in the Army. He received the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal.
He worked at Sharon Steel Corp. for 40 years in the Blooming Mill.
Joe married the love of his life, Dorothy Kovach, on July 15, 1950, in St. Paul's Church, Farrell, PA. The two were inseparable. She predeceased him on October 3, 2015.
Joe was a wonderful Father, Grandpa and Granpy.
Joe loved tending to his many beautiful gardens throughout the years. One of his biggest pleasures was putting the produce at the end of the driveway with a sign "FREE". When the weather was nice you would always see him walking the property.
Joe is survived by his daughter Diane (Daniel) Brown; granddaughter Christina (Chris) Bell; grandson Bill (Tara) Thompson; and four great grandchildren Chase Bell, Reese, Libby and Will Thompson and brother Peter (Jean) Drivere.
Joe was predeceased in death by his parents; wife Dorothy; brothers Vincent and Frank Drivere; sisters Gladys Russo, Opal Sarcinella, Lunda Ostrowski, Evelyn Mason, Joan Killa and Leah Manning and his loyal dog Ginger.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Kathy Phillips and Annette Edwards for the care and compassion they provided for Joe.
Messages of sympathy, stories and photos can be shared on Joseph's memorial page, at: www.flynnfuneralhome.com.
Calling hours will be held at John Flynn Funeral Home on Saturday, April 5th at 1:00 pm. An honor guard service will follow at 2:00 pm, in the funeral home chapel.
