Born July 14, 1955 in Massachusetts, Mr. Dumas was the son of the Joseph Dumas and the late Jeweral Elmira (Bookman) Marshall. He was also preceded in death his step-father: James Marshall; a brother: Carl Evans; and two sisters: TyAnne Martin and Darryl Tims.
Joseph graduated from Baltimore Community College and was a carpenter for Neilson and Sons General Contracting for several years. He enjoyed boxing, running track, and loved playing dominoes, chess, and horseshoes.
Joseph is survived by his daughter: Jeweral Byrd; his grandchildren: Clarence Butler, III and Ajai Butler; his siblings: Joe Evans (Sharon); Lorna Evans, Marian Black (Tom); Robert Evans (Rayetta); and James Marshall (Priscella); and a special friend: Bernadette Campbell; as well as his step-daughter: Dawn Williams; and his step-sons: Daryl Graham, Darren Graham, and Dana Graham.
Per his request, he will be cremated and services will be private.
Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A. is assisting the family.
