With deep regret, Joseph Edward Eckardt passed away on January 3, 2025. He was born onJanuary11, 1968. He would've been 57 in 8 days. He went to Leigh High school in San Jose, CA. He grew up in San Jose and Los Gatos.
Joe worked for Carnival Cruise Lines. He was the IT manager and loved it. He always wanted to go back there to work. Joe at one point owned a limousine company, he loved driving limos and big buses.
Joe loved camping and when he could he moved to the Santa Cruz mountains. He lived in Boulder Creek for Years. Then his house burned down in August 2020 from the Lightening fires. After the fire he had to live in Motels until he was able to purchase a motor home, and he moved to Ben Lomond.
He loved to cook and every Thanksgiving he would cook a huge meal for those in need in his community of Boulder Creek.
Joe was diagnosed with cancer about a year ago. When the DR's told him he only had a few months to live, all he wanted to do was go home and be with his Dog, Sophie. When he passed away Sophie and some of friends were with him. Especially his best friend Carol. Retired Nurse Denise and Carla were with him.
Both Joe's Father, Frederick Eckardt and Stepfather James Carson, and twin brother's James and Jefferey Carson have preceded him in death. He is survived by his Mom Betsy Carson, his sisters, Denise Cruz (Sylvia). Cathy Parker (Doug), Jamie Carson, and his stepbrother Sean Carson. He is also survived by a nephew Eric Parker.
We will all miss him until we meet again.
