Joseph Edwards IV

Joseph Edwards IV, 75, of Columbus Ohio passed away on January 5, 2023.
He was born on April 22, 1947 in Franklin Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Elverine Edwards.
Joseph (Joe, Jody) was beloved by family and friends, and adored by his cats over his lifetime. He is survived by his brother Carlyle, niece Sarah, nephew Brian (their mother Sandra). Also, cousins Wayne Nedley, Neil Nedley, Diane Brock, Janice Crawford, Gary Edwards, Arlene Kinnamon, Charles Cardillo, and David Charlton.
He was passionate about opera, theater, animal welfare and human rights. In retirement from the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, he did not sit still. He loved to travel in the U.S. and abroad, taking many cruises solo and with friends. Sunny days were for riding around in his red convertible; snowy days were spent reading or watching classic movies. He loved cooking and trying new recipes, always with a glass of wine in hand.
Over the years Joe maintained connections with close friends and family near and far. While he was known as a cynic (even captured on his car plate), those who really knew him held him in high esteem and appreciated his views of the world.
