Joseph, a husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather was surrounded by his loving family when he joined our Heavenly Father on February 22, 2025. He was born Joseph Charles Giannetto on April 5, 1961 in Massapequa, New York to Phillip and Beatrice (Governale) Giannetto, he is the youngest of five siblings.
Joseph is survived by his wife Johanna, sons and daughter, Joseph (Kristin) Angela (Sissy)(Ed), Joshua, Michael and Corey; his eight grandchildren Brad (Lisa), Davie, Andrew (Marissa), Aliyah, Piper, Quinn, Marcus, and Max; great-grandchildren Raven and Wren; his three sisters, Lucy, Margaret and Patricia, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Joseph was pre-deceased by his parents, bother-in-law Carlito Marmolejos, his beloved daughter-in-law Virginia, his brother-in-law Howard Yaekel, and his only brother Anthony.
He moved to Pennsylvania at age 11 and grew up to love playing football in high school. His team is the Pittsburgh Steelers! After graduating high school he moved to Conneaut, Ohio and owed a gas station and repair shop. He married his first wife, Juanita and fathered his two children, Joseph Jr. who was born in 1981 and Angela(Sissy) born in 1982. He was a firefighter and paramedic at Station #3.
In the mid 80s, he moved to Copiague, NY where he worked at a machine shop with his brother-in-law Jerry, he volunteered at Copiague Fire Department as a firefighter and paramedic. He worked at Dobbs where he met his second wife Johanna, he gained a son Joshua DeJesus.
He moved to Ronkonkoma, NY in 1990. Michael was born in 1991 and Corey was born in 1995. He settled there for 13 years.
He moved to Wellington, FL. in March 2005, where he ran a business that lasted the rest of his life.
He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure at 52 years old, which would be the reason he passed so young at 63 years old.
He could build anything with his hands, was mechanically inclined and skilled under the hood of a car. He had the need for speed, whether riding his Harley Davidson or his 4000 horsepower race car, he was a great cook and loved to host parties for every event.
