Joe and I became friends when his family moved to Uniontown in 1974. We built a tree house and camped out all the time in the summer. When Joe got his license, we would go cruising in his 72 Nova. Later, after Joe and his family moved to their 80 acre farm, our friendship continued. Joe built an apartment inside a barn on the farm when we were in our early 20s. We spent many many hours at the barn with friends listening to Roxy Music, Pink Floyd and other groups of the time. Joe and I were both in the 107th Air Cav. Joe's Dad and I visited Joe when he was going through Boot Camp at Knox. Joe and I remained close until we were about 30 when we traveled different paths, only hearing from one another via mutual acquaintances. Even though Joe and I lost contact, I still feel Joe was one of the best friends I ever had or will have. There is nothing I can say to ease the families sorrow, but take solace with that he is with his Mom and Dad now, probably having an A Gild Pizza. Gerald Weil Jr
