Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home - Rahway on Sep. 26, 2024.
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Grama, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, who left us on September 24, 2024, way to soon at the age of 40.
Born on December 11, 1983, in Newark NJ, Joseph was a devoted family man, passionate professional trucker to the core. He dedicated his life to his love of trucking, non-stop working out and the gym, his friends and above everything and most importantly his family.
He is survived by his loving devoted wife Brianne, his 4 children, Ryan 14, Joseph 5, Gabriel 3 and Luciano 2. His parents, Joseph and Rose Grama (Nasisi), sister Beata Lagares (Dan), brother Jeffrey Keiffer (Nicole), six nieces; Abigail, Addison, Gemma, Liberty, SaylorJean, Makenna and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly. His kindness, humor, and strength will forever be remembered. To know Joseph was to know you always had a friend, always had someone to talk to and confide in. He was a down to earth trucker who would on occasion show up home with no shoes on because he gave them to a man on the side of the road. This gentle giant's heart was so big and generous that he left a mark on everyone he crossed paths with.
Above all other things Joseph was a true to the core family man. He was an amazing active involved father to his boys and a constant father figure to his (step)daughter Ryan. He loved his children with all his heart and loved to cuddle, watch movies, ride bikes and just genuinely loved being daddy bear. To his wife he was the perfect soulmate, the calm to her crazy, the ying to her yang, the truest most honest type of love. The crazy, get married in Las Vegas, party at the pool cabana, have lots of kids, bicker about dinner and be snuggling 5min later kind of love. The most for real transparent relationship there was, a true forever once in a lifetime love story.
Joseph also treasured his mother, Rose, dearly. The apple of his eye; He was a total momma's boy still at 40 years old needing hugs and love and attention from mom. The son that would call mom twice a day just to talk and tell her how much he loved her.
The definition of a true friend and a genuine man. His looks may have been intimidating but were more deceiving than ever. This handsome buff tattooed stud of a man; was a gentle giant, a big marshmallow with a heart of gold. Quiet and shy til you got into conversations with him. The kindest, calm old soul. A true caring compassionate animal lover. To have known him was to love him.
Rest in peace, Joey. You are my one and only, true love of my life, I will forever love you Daddy Bear. You will always be in our hearts and walk beside us every day. We will look for all the signs. We love you to the moon Daddy.
