Southbridge: Joseph P. Graves 66, of Chapin St, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 5th, after brief illness.
His beloved wife of 42 years, Patricia (Zalauskas) Graves died in 2024. He leaves his two sons, Kyle Graves and his wife JoEllen of Charlton and Wade Graves of Southbridge; a sister, Denise Fiddesop of Taneytown, MD; his cherished grandson, Callum Graves and many nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by a son, Aaron Graves in 2024 and a sister, Patty Graves.
He was born in Washington, DC the son of the late Joseph and Gayle (Vinyard) Graves. Joseph graduated high school and went on to obtain his Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering. He worked for many years creating and designing computer software prior to retiring. In his retirement he enjoyed working part-time for Door Dash as well as Uber Eats where he was able to stay busy and meet people. Joseph enjoyed software design, sailing with the boys, traveling and his "Roller-Coaster Trips". The family traveled a lot with his career and they loved spending time in Hawaii as well as California.
Funeral Services and burial for Joseph will be private. There are no calling hours.
Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing the arrangements.
