Joseph Wesley Greer

Joseph Wesley Greer, 51, of Petersburg, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born on February 15, 1972.
Joe was a graduate of Corydon Central High School Class of 1992. He was a member of the River of Life Church in Petersburg, Indiana. Joe worked for Superior Ag and was previously an underground coal miner. Joe married the love of his life, Christie on September 1, 2006. He loved music, spending time with his family and church family. Joe had a great sense of humor and always joked and found ways to laugh. He was a hoarder of things and as a result always helped anybody with anything. He also loved his two dogs Miles and Molly. Joe was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 17-years, Christie Greer; sons, JJ (Haley) Greer, Jermia Greer, and Isaiah Greer; daughters, Emily (Chris) Wheeling, and Larissa Greer; grandchildren, Grayson and Tinley Kirkman, and Brayson Greer; sister, Debbie (Gary) Clark; and brothers, Alvin (Theresa) Greer, and Robert Greer.
Joseph is preceded in death by his loving parents, Noble and Margaret (Gardner) Greer.
Visitation will be held at River of Life on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. EST. Service will begin at 1 PM EST with Pastor Jim Gidcumb officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana.
