Joseph V. Guarini

Joseph V. Guarini, Sr., 80, of Beach Haven, NJ, formerly of East Norriton, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was born in Philadelphia, Pa on January 17, 1945 to Joseph and Josephine Guarini (nee Lombardo). Joseph was a 1963 graduate of Cheltenham High School, where he excelled in football and wrestling. In 1964, Joseph joined the United States Air Force Reserves, where he served our country until his honorable discharge in 1974. Joseph worked 35+ years with the telephone company, retiring from Verizon of PA. He was an avid outdoorsman, where he hunted and fished with family and friends. He especially enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren how to hunt and fish. Joseph also enjoyed gardening and cooking. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents and brother.
In 1966, Joseph met Katharine O'Brien at Sears Roebuck & Co. in Saint Davids, PA. Joseph and Katharine were married in June 1969; where they enjoyed 55+ years of loving marriage. Joseph and Katharine were blessed with four beautiful children: Joseph Jr. (Sharon), of Schwenksville, PA, Jennifer (Michael) of Royersford, PA, Andrew (Georgianne), of Collegeville, PA, and Mary (Matthew) of Sanatoga, PA. Together they share the love of 11 grandchildren: Ryan, Brenna, Aaron, Charles, Alexandra, Sean, Samuel, Andrew Jr., Isabella, Jackson, and Emily.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 12:00 pm at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 4700 Long Beach Blvd, Ship Bottom, NJ 08008. Cremation was private and under the direction of Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 1119 Long Beach Blvd, Ship Bottom.
