Joseph Shay Hackford, age 50, of Lapoint, passed away April 9, 2022 at the Ashley Valley Medical Center.
Joe was born July 14, 1971 in Roosevelt to Mark T and Bonnie Lou Richardson Hackford. He was the youngest child in the family. He grew up in Lapoint with all his relatives living close by. He married the love of his life Ricki Hackford, not once but twice. Together they had 6 children and 8 grandchildren..
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his grandchildren, looking for rocks, and playin’ the guitar – he had a great love of music.
Joe is survived by his wife, Ricki Hackford, children, Savanah Marie (TJ) Hackford, Joseph Dale Hackford, Marcus (Ashlee) Hackford, Jersie Hackford (Brennen Smith), Emerson & Patrick Hackford; his grandchildren, Aden, Preceias, Eli, Rennie, Nyree, Savvi, Jackson, Ali, Waylan, and one on the way “Jax”; his mother, Bonnie Hackford; siblings, Rick Hackford, Kathy (Doyle) Clark, Lana (Corey) Murdock, Alan (Lisa) Hackford, Linda Hackford and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Hackford; siblings, Mark Clay Hackford, Bill Whitehead, Teddy Serawop, Emerson Serawop, nephew, Mickey Arrowchis and many more.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 19, 2022, at 12:00 noon at the Hullinger Mortuary.
He will be cremated.
