Joseph Hartley Obituary
Born and raised in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, the youngest child of a tight-knit family. The children raised many pets and the family never said no to a stray. The family went to services at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church at Kenmore and Lawrence Joseph attended Senn High School and spent most of his adult years as a devoted caretaker to his mother and watching baseball.
Dear brother of Gerald Hartley, Laura Hartley, and Nancy (the late Julio) Vasquez, all of Chicago, and Evelyn Suarez of Palatine, IL
Uncle of Enma and Ashley Vasquez and Veronia and Vanessa Suarez. Faithful companion of the family cat Sweetie the Maine Coon-mix.
Preceded in death by parents Henry William Hartley and Dorothy Ann Selander and one stillborn brother.
Private entombment at St, Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, IL.
