Joseph Victor "Joe" Hatcher

Joseph "Joe" Victor Hatcher, 86, of Sour Lake, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Christus Southeast Texas – St. Elizabeth Hospital, Beaumont. He was born July 23, 1936, in Galveston, to Susie Belle Andrews Hatcher and Nick Jackson Hatcher.
Joseph was a self-employed carpenter all of his life. He was a hard worker, hunter, fisher, gardener, and loved to mow his lawn as often as possible in his older age. He was a great Dad, PawPaw, and Grandpa to all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Carol Perry and her husband, Ronnie, of Sour Lake; Buddy Hatcher and his wife, Rhysa, of Sour Lake; Debra Cash and her husband, Buddy, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Shannon Collins of Sour Lake; Brandi Riela and her husband, Andrew, of Dallas; Brittney Hatcher of Beaumont; Bryankodee Hatcher and his fiancé, Margaret Woodley, of Dallas; Lacy Vosburgh, of Lumberton; Kassi Williams and her husband, Sterling; Tisha Salter; Kaleana Burch; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Ashton, and Kody Vosburgh; Greta and Grahm Riela; Colton, Kyleigh, and Remy Glaze; Eason Williams; Daxton Collins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Susie Belle Andrews Hatcher and Nick Jackson Hatcher; wife of fifty-nine years, Joyce Huckaby Hatcher; siblings, Helen Hatcher-Loiacano and Harry Hatcher.
A gathering of Mr. Hatcher's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2023, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Broussard's, with his interment to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Sour Lake.
