Joseph Haverty Obituary
December 16, 1940 – November 15, 2021
Husband to Sandra Haverty of Clearwater, Florida peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Atchison, Kansas to Harold and Norma Haverty. He was the proud Papa of five children, fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Joe was of humble beginnings in Atchison, Kansas where he spent his childhood. His ambition to further his career then took him to Des Moines, Iowa where he became a financial advisor. After a prosperous fourteen years in Des Moines, his career took him to Cocoa Beach, Florida where he took over to manage the Dean Witter branch. Four years later he transferred to Clearwater, Florida where he planted his roots, finished his successful career, and made countless friendships along the way.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 62 years: Sandra Haverty; his children: Mary and Drew Vaughan, Kathy Haverty, Missy and Joe Mutchler, Bryan and Kerrie Haverty, and Kerry and Paul Larcom; brother: Michael and Marlys Haverty.
Joe is now rejoicing in heaven, surrounded by his Mother, Father, and Grandmother Purslow.
A visitation will be held at Curlew Hills Memorial Garden at 1750 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor, Florida 34683 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday, November 19, 2021.
