Joseph Cleveland "JC" Hawk

In memory of Joseph Cleveland "JC" Hawk, a loving patriarch whose warmth and humor touched the lives of many. Born on September 11, 1938, in Heard County, Georgia, JC's journey on this earth came to an end on May 7, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia.
 
 Throughout his career, JC dedicated himself to his craft as a welder and later transitioned to work as a mechanical contractor. Known for his skillful hands and meticulous attention to detail, he left a legacy as a true professional in his field.
 
 Those who knew JC will always remember him as a funny, loving, and devoted man. His dependability and kind-hearted nature were evident in every interaction. Beyond his work life, JC found joy in various hobbies and interests such as grilling out, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his extended family at the Cowtail Hunting Club. He had a knack for storytelling and would captivate audiences with his tales. 
 
 JC's proudest accomplishments revolved around his family whom he held dear to his heart. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Juanita Hawk, whose memory he carried with him every day. Nothing brought more joy to JC & Jaunita’s heart than raising their two sons and spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They doted over their every move; they enjoyed spoiling them with love, life’s simple pleasures, and an endless supply of sweets and soda.

JC is survived by his son Richie Hawk and wife Melody, son Marty Hawk, granddaughter Brandie Hawk, granddaughter Amanda Campbell and husband Cody, grandson Joseph R. Hawk and wife Sydney, great-grandsons Kylan Parton and Rylan Hawk, great-granddaughters Lillian LaFalce, Annabelle Campbell, Shantel Hawk, Corley Campbell, Channing Campbell, Elisa Hawk.
 
 To all who had the privilege of knowing JC Hawk - whether through work or personal connections - he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and profound impact that will be cherished forever.
 
May he rest in peace knowing that his stories will be retold with love and laughter for generations to come. Remember, the proper way to make southern biscuits is, “It HAS to be WHITE LILY self-rising flour & LARD!”
