Joseph "Joe" Eugene Hirsch, 98, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Born June 13, 1927 in New York, NY to the late Herman and Josephine Hirsch, he had lived in Dawson County since 1992. He had worked in the insurance industry since 1949 and retired as an Account Executive with Johnson and Higgins following 10 years of service. Joe was a member of Lion's Clubs for over 50 years, was currently a member of the Dawson County Lion's Club and had served as a District Governor. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of the Christ the Redeemer Knights of Columbus. Also preceding him in death was his wife and mother of his children, Muriel Hirsch; his second wife, Marilynn Hirsch; and a son, Brian Hirsch.
Surviving are his daughter and son in law, Susan Julia and Bradford Flynn, New Cumberland, PA; granddaughters, Allison Ramos and her husband Mark, Dawn Flynn, Lorilei Flynn; great grandchildren, Bradley Kyle Flynn, Madilyn Rose Flynn, Astrid Ramos; and daughter in law, Barbara Hirsch, Monticello, GA.
A memorial mass will be held Friday, October 17, 2025 at 11 o'clock at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 991 Kilough Church Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534
