Joseph Yon-Pyo Hong, known affectionately as Joseph to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on May 21, 1937, in Chuncheon, South Korea, Joseph lived a full and vibrant life until his final days in Browns Mills, New Jersey. He was surrounded by the love and warmth of his family.

Joseph's journey brought him from the scenic landscapes of South Korea to the heart of Browns Mills, where he established deep roots within the community. For 42 years, he was the proud owner of Midtown Cleaners, a local business that thrived under his careful management. His dedication to his work and the people he served was evident in the lasting relationships he built and the respect he earned throughout his career.

Beyond his professional life, Joseph was a man of many passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as golfing with friends. His love for the outdoors was unmistakable, often reflected in the meticulous care he took with landscaping. Joseph's hands shaped the beauty of his surroundings, creating an oasis that reflected his love for nature and his attention to detail.

Joseph's legacy is carried on by his beloved wife of 55 years, Yun Son Hong, who stood by him through every season of life. Together, they raised a family that was the center of Joseph's world. His daughter, Hi Chung Kwon, and his son, Song Min Hong (married to Bom Nae), were the pride of his life, and he instilled in them the values of hard work, integrity, and the importance of family. He is also survived by his sister, Jung Rye Lamb; his four grandchildren, Olivia, Elizabeth, Kent, and Logan. Each of them carries a part of their grandfather's spirit; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 1-2PM, at the Moore Funeral Home, 371 Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills, NJ. Funeral services will follow at 2PM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
