Obituary of Joseph Inga
Survived by his loving wife of almost 30 years Tara (Godwin) Inga, daughter Martina Inga, son Joseph Inga and his faithful dog Turtle, parents Peppino and Carmel Inga, sister Lynette Inga, brother Frank (Keely) Inga, brothers-in-law Jerry Godwin and Jeff Von Buren, sister-in-law Claire (Terry) Urbanowicz, nieces Samantha (Chris) Pamula, Emily (Greg) Holbig, Vanessa DeWolff and Christie DeWolff, nephews Michael Urbanowicz, Ian Godwin, great niece Autumn Pamula and great nephew Parker Holbig.
Born October 6, 1958 in Rochester, NY, he grew up playing baseball in town leagues, listening to classic rock, watching hockey games with his father and collecting hockey cards and working on and driving fast cars. Sunday dinners with the family were a tradition that he loved even as a young adult.
Joe attended St. John Fisher College and had a long career with Eastman Kodak company. He ended his working career at Avis/Budget Car Rentals at the airport where he was top sales associate for the Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo regions. His hard work and dedication earned him many rewards including an all-inclusive paid trip to Cancun his second year with the company.
Joe met his wife Tara through mutual friends. During the first few years they lived in a wonderful neighborhood where they met lifelong friends. There were many wintery weekends of progressive dinner parties and summer evenings boating on Lake Ontario. Before having children, Joe and Tara did quite a bit of traveling. They built their dream home in Irondequoit NY and raised two beautiful children. Joe always said his biggest accomplishment was being Martina and Joey's father. He was an incredible proud father who bragged about his kids every chance he got. Joe enjoyed watching the birds in their backyard, beautiful sunsets with his wife and sitting by the chiminea listening to Ozzy's Boneyard eating concord grapes.
After a long battle with his illness, Joe passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
His family would like to thank Long Pond Medical Group, Rochester Regional Health Lipson Cancer Center, UR Medicine Hepatology, Highland Hospital Infusion Center and UR Medicine Home Care Hospice for the compassion and wonderful care they gave Joe for the last several years.

Friends are Invited to join the family on Saturday, January 29 from 12 to 2PM at the Harris Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 2PM with Fr. Lance Gonyo officiating.
