On Thursday, September 11, 2025, Joseph Ingram (Papa Joe) of Kinsey, Alabama passed away at 79. he was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.

On January 12, 1946, Joseph was born to the late Tullis Ingram, Jr. and Mattie Mae Henry in Houston County, Alabama. He joined Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church, Headland, Alabama.

He was united and married to the late Odesta Reeves.

He worked over 20 years at Meadow Gold. One they closed, he began his cleaning service, " Joe & Sons Janitorial ". His passion was to protect and serve his community, so he joined the Headland Police Department, later to become the Chief of Police. During his journey on the Force, he was given the name " Papa Joe " by the community.

He leaves his memories and love to his sons, Stewart (Sanitha) and Joseph Earl (Sabrina) Dothan, Alabama; grandchildren: Ar'neita Shimar (Terrence) Hardamon, Stuar'kelia (Quadarian) Broome, Quineisha Ingram, Zharia (Chris) Boggan, Brionna Ingram (Ethon), Oceonna Ingram, Joseph and Jaden Ingram; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Audrie (Jessie) Ingram; sisters-in-law, Mary Sutton and Gloria Jones; brothers-in-law, Curtis Reeves and Isaac (Rosemary) Reeves; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his sister, Evon Richards; two brothers, Jamie and Johnny Ingram.
