Joseph E. Jakubowski

Joe Jakubowski was gathered in God's loving arms on Monday, October 20, 2025 at age 65 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on April 3, 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; son of the late Edward and Evelyn (Bette) Jakubowski. Joe attended St. Matthew's Catholic School and graduated from Boy's Tech in Milwaukee. He went on to work at both Louis Allis and Siemens. Joe was a man of remarkable creativity. He was known for his steadfast love of crafting and his gift for making everything from a simple meal to a complex project a work of art.

He was the caring brother of Linda (Larry) Sukup, Susan (Jeff) Lepak, Kathy (John) Kloc, and Andrew Jakubowski.

He was the proud uncle of Denise (Jerrod) Carr, Jessica (Jamie) Westlund, James (Katie) Lepak, Bill Kloc, and Becky (Jake) Johnson, in addition to his six grandnieces and nephews-Chloe' and Killian Carr, Lena and Arlo Westlund, and Liam and Loretta Lepak. He is also survived by his best friends Rich Kulas and Greg Klugewicz as well as many other friends and relatives.

In addition to crafting and cooking, Joe loved the outdoors. He was a member and treasurer at Finn 'N' Feather Sportsman's Club in Palmyra. He also enjoyed playing Sheepshead and other games at outdoor parties with family and friends. His meatballs, chili, roasted corn, and hand pressed lemonade always added to the fun. Joe was known to razz others for a good laugh! A special thank you to the staff and Hospice Care Unit at

St. Luke's Hospital for caring for Joe. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Paddy's Paws Animal Rescue Service in Jefferson County, Wisconsin in Joe's name would be appreciated. Joe we know you can hear us now--your generous spirit, hardworking nature, and infectious laugh will be missed by all.
