Mr. Joseph “Joe” Charles Ziegler, age 57, entered into rest on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at First Southern Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, August 5, 2024 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mr. Ziegler was born March 1, 1967 in Little Rock, AK a son of Dr. Jack C. Jarrett and the late Wilma Jean Trent Jarrett. He was a 1986 graduate of Cheraw High School and went on to receive his Tool and Die Technician degree from Northeastern Technical College. A dedicated employee and machinist, Joe was a former employee of Marley Engineered Products and INA Bearing. He was a member of First Southern Methodist Church. Outside of working, Joe enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and drag racing. He was also an avid Carolina Hurricanes Hockey fan.
Survivors include his sons, Shan Ziegler, and Chance Ziegler both of Cheraw, SC; daughter, Ashli Poston of Cheraw, SC; father, Dr. Jack C. Jarrett of Cheraw, SC; siblings, Kerry (Kim) Kaylor of Auburn, GA, Greg (Robin) Jarrett of Cheraw, SC, Steve (Wendy) Ziegler of Cheraw, SC, Karen (Jim) Nix of Carrollton, GA, and Sherry (Michael) Miller of Rome, GA; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews including Autumn & Kenzie Ziegler; and host of extended family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has organized a GoFundMe account located on Shan Ziegler’s Facebook page. Memorial Donations are also being accepted at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
