Joseph "Joe" Phillips Obituary

Joseph “Joe” Jerome Phillips was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 21, 1965. He passed suddenly on August 15, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado, he was 60 years young.

Joe, was a caring, compassionate, empathetic, Man. If he could help, he was the first person there to lend a hand. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, motorsports, and 4 wheeling with his family and friends. There was not a sporting event he didn’t like, especially watching the Broncos.

He is survived by his wife, Maggie, their son, Trevor and 3 grandchildren, AJ, Wyatt, and Lily. Joe was extremely excited to meet his first great, grandchild in February of 2026. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary, Missy and brother, JJ, and many more family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Phillips, Sharon and Rick (Lahr) and his daughter, Shera.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Horan & McConaty Chapel on September 21, 2025 at 2P. (Reception to follow on site). Located at: 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, 80014. 

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Colorado Department of Wildlife or plant a tree in Joe's honor.
