Joseph Jr. Obituary
Joseph "Joey" Franklin Simmons, Jr., 64 of Parkton, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 in his home with family by his side.
Born September 12, 1957 in Augsburg, Germany, Joey was the son of the late Joseph Franklin Simmons, Sr. and Luise Leiner Simmons. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Jakob Simmons.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Simmons of Hope Mills; sisters, Susan Simmons Kinsey of Hope Mills and Carol Simmons of Fayetteville, partner and caregiver, Krissy Rosol and her son Leon of Parkton; and a host of other family and friends.
Joey was a dedicated long distance truck driver for over 40 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed driving his Mustang convertible, and was an avid Beatles fan and comic book collector. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
