Joseph Frederick passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 15th, 2025.
Husband to the late Elizabeth (Ibbettson) Keegan (1937 - 2007) and loving companion to the late Elaine Melchiorre. Devoted father of Joseph (Karen) Keegan and Carol (William) Long. Beloved grandfather to Joseph, Kelsey, William and Shaun. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Joe's life at his VIEWING Monday September 22nd 9am-10am at St Monica's 2422 S 17th street Philadelphia PA 19145, followed by his funeral mass at 10 am. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions to Myeloma.org.

Sorry to hear of Joe's passing. It was nice for my father to find a friend at St. Mary's. He was always happy to see me when I visited. He will be missed. We are thinking about his family during this time.

Sincere condolences to the Keegan family from the Shanahan family from Mt. Carmel parish. Joe will be remembered for his devotion to coaching and helping young people develop on the right track. His positive energy and bright smile were always seen and felt. Rest in peace Joe!
