Joseph Kirby Wilkins III, 62, of Reidsville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 4, 2022.
A celebration of life will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 5 PM officiated by The Rev. Forest Jones. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Lou Ann and Larry Boaz or the home of Janet and Ceedy Cook.
Kirby was born in Rockingham County to the late Joseph Kirby Wilkins Jr. and Jackie Cole Wilkins. He was an avid and gifted musician; Kirby played in numerous bands. He served his Lord and Savior as the worship leader at The Fellowship for 12 years. A loving husband, he was a gardener, cat dad, an excellent cook and a Canoe and Kayak enthusiast. Most of all he loved his family. He will be greatly missed by the many friends and loved ones who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, The Rev. Jenny Wilkins; sister, Janet Cook (Ceedy); sister-in-law, Diana Taylor; fur babies, Chloe, Diesel, Apollos, Molly along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a loving group of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Fellowship at 1601 Barnes Street, Reidsville, NC 27320.
