Joseph Kitchen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Generations Funeral Home & Crematory - Tomahawk on Dec. 17, 2025.
Joseph "Joe" H. Kitchen, age 76, of Tripoli, WI, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the UW Hospital in Madison, WI, with family and friends by his side. Joe was born on July 8, 1949, in Lock Haven, PA, the first-born child of Robert and Francis (McCloskey) Kitchen. He was later married to Cynthia Ganske; she survives.
Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, earning several honorary medals for his service. Following his honorable discharge, he made his home in Pardeeville, WI, where he owned and operated his own business as a skilled tool and die maker. Later in life, Joe worked for Multitek, Inc., in Prentice, WI, where he remained until his retirement in 2015.
Joe had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He loved UTV rides, trips to the casino, and spending time visiting friends and family in Iowa. One of his yearly highlights was his weekend with the "girls" from Pardeeville, proudly guiding them along the UTV trails, making sure everything ran smoothly and, most importantly, that everyone was safe.
Many cherished memories were also made during maple syrup season at Jim Johnson's, where Joe delighted in making syrup alongside his grandson, Carter, and friends, often capped off with laughter, stories, and a shared Busch Light.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Cindy Kitchen; his son, Joseph "Joey" Kitchen, II; his daughter, Kelly Jo (Chris) Berry; his sister, Vicki Young; his grandchildren, Maddy, Miranda, and Carter Berry; and his nephew, Steve (Marie) Young. Joe is further survived by his loving dog, Bull. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Francis; his brother, Larry Kitchen; and his brother-in-law, Paul Young.
In accordance with wishes, no formal services will be held. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
